Washoe County Prevention Conference (WCPC)

May

The Washoe County Prevention Conference brings together prevention professionals, educators, and community partners for two days of training, research, and networking in Reno.

RX Takeback

April and October

Dispose of unused or expired prescription medications safely and for free. Drop-off locations run throughout Reno, Sparks, and Spanish Springs, no questions asked.

Overdose Awareness Day

August

An annual community observance to remember lives lost to overdose, support affected families, and share education on recognizing and responding to an overdose.

Youth Summit

Summer/Fall

A gathering for Washoe County students to build leadership skills, connect with peers, and become advocates for healthy decision-making in their schools.

Reno FFX

May

Washoe County high school students participate in the annual Reno FFX Festival to create PSAs focused on substance misuse education and health decision making.
