Creating Trauma Informed - Resilient Focused Schools

This 60-minute webinar is intended to strengthen the trauma-informed practices of youth-service professionals. Childhood trauma can carry through adult life and health disparities including substance misuse. This educational training will review the basic components of understanding trauma, effects to the developing brain, ACEs and PCEs, and creating change through trauma-informed practices in school environments.

Arisa Tongco, Certified Prevention Specialist, Join Together Northern Nevada

Arisa is a Senior Prevention Specialist with Join Together Northern Nevada. She obtained her certification in the following: Certified Prevention Specialist in 2023, ACEs Trainer in 2023, and Prevention Ethics Trainer in 2024. Arisa has experience as an educator in substance misuse education, social and emotional learning in K-12 classrooms.
